Men and Women have played interesting key roles in my life. Both have taught me invaluable lessons. But, let me remind you that the complete focus over here is on those inspiring ladies who have indeed changed me for the better. These special ladies have taught me the importance of life and how to lead it in ways that will bring out the meaningful flavours of my survival !!
Let's start with My MOTHER !
(a) MOM was the only one who was there as a ROCK for me throughout my entire life. She forgave me for committing terrible mistakes and rectified me wherever necessary without hating me even for a second. She had encouraged me to continue my life in times when others had looked down upon me. She never gave up on me inspite of her relatives taunting her. She never considered me as a burden. She greatly played the role of the forgiving mother who had lovingly welcomed her Prodigal Daughter. She gave up all the comforts of her life just for me. She chose not to re-marry. Thus, she continues to serve as the ever best role model for me !!
(b) MANOPRABHA RAKSHE MAM - Fortunately, she was our Physics and Maths Teacher! She had been our Class Teacher too. I used to admire her for her beautiful looks in her lovely sarees. I always wished I had those long hairs which were framed with a flower especially on special occasions ! She was quite a strict disciplinarian. The way she carried herself was always an inspiration to me ! I used to get scared of Mathematical equations as they were not my cup of tea ! But, I was a true admirer of this brilliant mathematician :) ..... This Mam taught me how to be tough in life and to value the importance of it. She taught me never to give up and to keep on trying until I succeed. I love her saying this in her classes - ''I SAY WHAT IS RIGHT AND I ALWAYS MEAN WHAT I SAY''. She was also my tuition teacher. I used to try my level best to study hard to impress her as I didn't want to let her down. As a result, I used to pray to God to put a miraculous grasping power in my head which will help me to learn the difficult subjects ! Thus, she still reigns my heart as one of my most favourite teachers !
(c) GRANDMA PAULINE - She was quite a charming senior citizen whom I had met in ASHA KIRAN, YWCA (YOUNG WOMEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION ) Hostel in Mumbai. She was quite a humble and down to earth lady. She was a GOAN. Her wrinkled face had the spark of an inspiring personality. She chose to adorn herself with a positive attitude towards loneliness. She never complained about anything. Unfortunately, she passed away but her mesmerizing elderly smile remains as an unforgettable and memorable treasure FOREVER......
(d) GRANDMA SHAKUNTALA CHOUGULE - Once upon a time, she was titled as the 'GOLDEN GIRL' as she had the heart of gold and was quite a hardworking woman. She always had a helping mentality and was a firm believer of 'HUMANITY'. Though not blood- related, she adopted me as her favourite granddaughter. She taught me the art of cooking and praised me for my dishes. She loved narrating true stories of her life. She never looked down on anyone. Sadly, she too passed away on 26th January, 2017....
(e) KAVITA VERMA- My Classmate and my long time Buddy ! She's the one who inspired me to update my life. She advised me to be on my feet no matter what. Looking at her achievements is like looking at an Egyptian Pyramid and still wondering about it's uniqueness! I still remember this girl always had her own catwalk style even in school ! She has always been at her best when facing others as well as the various situations of life. I am proud enough to have her as my BESTIE FOREVER :)
(f) RAJNI MISHRA - Once again, I have a School Buddy to inspire me throughout the walks of life ! This Girl has taught me the invaluable lesson that it is okay to be in a Relationship but not to be at the mercy of our lover. She greatly encouraged me to come out of all my emotional traumas and to be quite practical about life. This iconic beauty took a bold step to confront those who underestimated her capabilities and today she is one of the successful entities !!
(g) DIVYA DEVYANI- Another Girl with the role of being My Classmate ! She always reminds me of my beloved Dad- (Late.Mr. GEORGE WILLIAMS ) .... as she was a close admirer of him. Divya always has an instant smile on her face which indeed sparkles with much positivity ! She has always been a humble character and is so full of sisterly love for me. She is quite fond of correcting the ways of my life and I deeply respect her for that. She doesn't portray any favouritism. She encourages me to keep on being closer to GOD above everything else ! She loves my mother too as her own. She always makes it a point to visit my home whenever she touches Pune. She is indeed a great blessing for me !
(h) CHERUBS- Who can forget those special ones with whom I had grown up in Our Sunday School Days ??? I would love to appreciate these young ladies from my Church namely REEMA IYPE, RACHEL CHANDY,DEEPA DAS And SHARON ALEX ! These have always inspired me in their own ways of positivity and I am quite glad to have them in my life! They have always responded to me in a sisterly manner and have never forgotten to shower their graceful love ! I am quite thankful to each one of them :)
(i) Late.Ms.Aparna GHORPADE - She was an unforgettable School Bestie of mine. We were known as kindergartners. Our fathers were working in the same reputed Private Company. We resembled mostly like sisters who were there for each other through every thick and thin of life. We did our home works together and had so much fun as children. She was My Eyes and My Ears. She was a soft-spoken girl with squared spectacles framing her innocence. Her untimely and unexpected death has indeed shattered my life. ("APARNA.... I WILL MISS YOU FOREVER"....)
Thus, the above mentioned SPECIAL LADIES have created a niche in my life. I humbly Thank My GOD for each one of them. They are ones who have laid the foundation of importance. Let me re-write that 'BEHIND EVERY SUCCESSFUL WOMAN..THERE IS STRONG WALL OF INSPIRING LADIES.' So, let's respect them and remember them always.....!
-(This has been penned by me keeping in mind the invaluable lessons taught by those whom I value the most and this time my focus is on all those Special LADIES who have indeed inspired me throughout the JOURNEY OF MY LIFE .)
